The Shield season 4 was premiered on 3-15-2005 with the episode entitled ‘The Cure’. Season 4 brings two new regulars as such Glenn Close as Monica Rawling, the new captain of the Farmington District Strike Force; and Anthony Anderson. As the season starts, Captain Aceveda moves on to his new City Council position, meanwhile, Captain Monica Rawling gets ready to take over the Barn. Dutch and Claudette are at DA’s doghouse for several months and are assigned the lowliest jobs. During the fourth season, Mackey’s search for a teenager takes a very ugly turn when the teen appears to have been involved in a shoot-out. Dealing with such kinda situations and crime, season comes to an end on 6-14-2005. Mitchell is out of prison so Vic, Monica and the Strike Team are trying very hardly to put him behind the bars. David must protect his political career when Vic reveals his suspicions about him. Monica makes an unpopular decision that helps seal her fate.

Monica wants Shane and Army go through a lie detective test so they are learning how to cheat the test. Vic and the Strike Team use their purchase on the one-niners to find out the accused involved with the cop killings. Claudette and Dutch are investigating a gang shoot.
